~*~~*~~*~~*~~*~

For all the times, when I was a little tyke
You ran behind my two wheeled bike
You were right there, when I tried to skate
And cheered me on with, "You're doin' great!"
You picked me up and comforted me
When I fell down and hurt my knee

When you finally let me have the car
But wouldn't let me drive too far
For all the times you said "No"
"You can't go"
For all the times you made me mad
And I said, "I wish I had another Dad!"

~**~**~

For all those times, Dad, I say.
"Thank You"
I have learned how much you love me.
You made me into a confident
and caring person.
You didn't hold me back, but you let me go,
just a little, each and every year.
I thought I was old enough to do as I please.
I wasn't.
Thank you, for teaching me right from wrong....
And how to be strong.
You gave your very best, to me, so that
I might be the very best I could be.

I Love You, Dad
