There's too much sadness
Too much hate
And too much indifference
Will seal our fate

There's always that one
That looks around
To see, if someone's flaws
Can be found

And if you find them
Don't tell them to me
For it's not other's flaws
I want to see

I have plenty of my own
But, I have been blessed
When I find a friend
That sees, only my best

And I thank God, for that friend
That overlooks, my imperfection
That embraces me, with friendship
And understanding affection

I don't want to hear about
The wrong, done to you
More times than not
You've done "wrong" too

So, if you have nothing
Really nice to say
Then just turn around
And walk the other way

Think what you want
That's up to you
But as for myself
This is what I'm going to do

Little children, and sweet friends
I'll take hold, of your hand
Because, I have seen hurt
And I understand

We'll waltz around rainbows
And wish upon stars
Daydream, all day
Travel to Mars

We'll giggle and laugh
To ridiculous stuff
Run through meadows ...
Blow dandelion fluff

Build sand castles ...
Splash in the waves
Don't look for the negative
Search out, happy days

Now, if you think you can see what's good
And not look, for what's wrong
Then by all means, Dear One ....
Please do, come along!!
