What's this, you may ask
A La-La state of mind
That's when my mind, is in a state
That I seem, I cannot find
I think and think
with wondering doubt
Am I losing it all.....
Or do I need to get
the cobwebs out
Sometimes, I stand here
looking the fool
I try and talk
But make as much sense as a baby
doing algebra, in preschool
Do I dare go out, of my house today
Do I dare go to town
I may regret it, if I do
People may think me, a clown
I try and be serious
And very "Matter of Fact"
But my mind thinks, this
And my mouth, says that
You have heard the statement, I'm sure ...
The lights are on, but nobody's home
Those are the days, my mind takes off
It just wants to roam
When I'm in a La-La state of mind
I guess my family and friends
will have to understand
My brain has taken a trip
To Never-Never Land
But don't worry
I will get on the same page
as the rest of the world, someday
I'll get all the cobwebs out
Then keep my mind, at bay
Now, I will not change completely
Because, we are all unique
Some parts of my
La-La State of Mind
I definitely, intend to keep!!
