Did ya ever think ya lost it?
Or you're livin' in a dream
You're the object of a plot
Someone's little scheme

Every time I wash clothes
Before the day is through
The socks, just have me baffled
A pair's no longer TWO!!

For when I finish the task
And washday, is all done
I end up with a "Miss-Matched-Mess"
A pair is down to ONE!!

Whilst putting them in the washer
You know what I do?
I count the pairs of socks
And every pair, matches TWO!

Then, toss the load in the dryer
'round and 'round it goes
When all is done, there's only one
Where's the match?!? Who knows!?!

I searched for the missing sock
I got right on the case
The mystery of the missing sock?
I was looking in the wrong place!

Before the dryer's done
This is what I found
A little fairy takes just one
As the dryer goes, round & round!!

There is an answer for everything
I thought it was time you knew
That's how you end up with one sock
Instead of a pair of two!!
