A jewel box full
As Autumn begins to unfold
There atop the wooden trunk
Sway the emeralds, rubies and gold

Branches dance in the wind
From their fingertips they drop
Jewels of every color
Covering the tree top

The richness of Autumn
Fills up our sight
Beauty to behold
Brings endless delight

Last dance of the year
Warm weather will not keep
It's time, wondrous trees
To fall deep into sleep

Enjoy the beauty, Dear One
With wondering awe
As Autumn gives way to winter
With one last hurrah
