Just one last glimpse of summer
One last touch of a butterfly's wing
One last rush of a warm breeze
Carrying the songs of birds as they sing

The flowers are getting tired
But, they'll give just one last bloom
Then ask if they may sleep
The frost will be here soon

Birds will fly south
And some will stay
To add a little color
On a cold winter day

Just lost here in my thoughts a bit
Thinking about you, my dear friend
And how friendship can last forever
Only seasons, come to an end
