I picked some perfect roses
From my garden, grand
Velvet are the petals
As I touched them with my hand

~~*~~

And within the glory of these roses
They held my fascination
My eyes were opened as I saw
The beauty of creation

Kept fresh, they were, through the night
Sprinkled lightly with morn's early dew
I cannot keep them for myself
My Friend, I'll give them to you

~~*~~

Here are the roses, that I picked
Perfect in every way
And that reminds me of our friendship
We share, each and everyday
