Front porch days
Where have they gone
It wasn't that long ago
Where you knew each neighbor
Everyone ....
And those you didn't, you'd get to know
Front porch visits
Iced tea and lemonade
Always a pleasant smile
With lots of laughing
Sitting in the shade
Visiting for a good long while
Front porch conversations
Serious or light hearted
Spending time with a friend
A handshake or hug before they parted
What a great way for a day to end
There's just something warm and inviting
About a Front Porch
And you're just like a
Front Porch Friend To Me!
