I hung a ladder upon a cloud
and climbed to the very top
I climbed and climbed and climbed
I was never going to stop
But there came a place
I could climb no more
And it was a beautiful place
I had never seen before
I was in awe .....
It was like a great big room
And right there in the middle
Was the great big moon
I found that someone was already there
And I called to him really loud,
"Who are you?"
That's what I said, as I sat upon a cloud
He called back .....
"The moon just gave me a star
I want to give it to you
Stay right where you are"
A star to wish upon
It's a magic one too
And then he tossed it to me ....
Right into my hands, it flew
Was it a dream or was it real
I do not really know
I need someone to go with me
And tell me if it's so .....
'Cause that's the night I visited the moon
When I climbed a ladder, high
Now, my friend I ask, please do
Will you meet me in the sky?
Yes, meet me tonight on top of the clouds
We really must see if this is true
And I want my most favorite person to come
