Sound, travels across the night
A distant howl, I hear
Is that a wolf
Or just the wind, walking near
Do the wind and wolf, join together
And journey this path, as eve draws nigh
As sleep calls out, to me
These thoughts, go rushing by
Sounds in the night, can make one uneasy
Imagination can build, on what we hear
Settle your heart, to rest
Do not give into fear
It is not fear, I feel in dark
But a time for deep meditation
For the wolf and the wind are wonders
Of magnificent, creation
Fill your mind, with peaceful thoughts
And soothing dreams, will take flight
Sleep deep, Dear One, worry not
The Lord will hold you tight
