Gettin' sleepy, so it's off to bed
Gotta turn out the light
You don't like the dark?
It gives ya a terrible fright?

A little light comes in the window
It's the glow from big ole' moon
Just enough to cast shadows, on the wall
But, you want more light in your room

Do ya think there's somethin' under the bed
You want someone to come and see
Shoo them out, check the closet
To make sure it's monster free

Do you know how many times
My Dad took a broom
Swept those monsters, down the hall
Straight outta my room

Through the living room we would go
I'd open up, the front door
He would sweep the monsters
outta the house
And my room had monsters, no more

Even now, I keep that broom nearby
Just in case .....
Cause ya never know
When a monster might appear
Right there, in front of your face!!

My advice, when ya go to bed tonight
Take a broom!!!
