Rain falls across the land
And it rejoices in happiness
As earth shows her beauty
With rain, such as this

There is a cleansing
All comes alive
It is that very reason
The earth needs rain .... To survive

And the rain that falls in our life
Yes, the tears
Is a cleansing of the soul
Washing away sadness or fears

Refreshing our spirit
Each teardrop takes away the pain
It may take a day, maybe more
But tears are the soul's "rain"

Don't try and hold them back
Let your tears flow
And after they are gone
Your smile is your rainbow

Even if the tears are flowing
For a reason we can't explain
Sometimes, we just need to cry
Just as the earth needs the rain
