'Who is she?'
Go the whispers, in the night
Floats into the room, like a gentle breeze
Her gracious style, emits illuminating light
Capturing hearts, with ease

Dressed in crimson red ....
reflects a blush on her face
Eyes that shine like the stars, in the sky
Words she speaks with charm and grace
But even still, seems a bit shy

A mystery, she is, this Lady in red
What secret does she keep?
What do you see in her eyes...
that's not being said?
What is the pain inside her heart, deep?

She will never tell you, though
This pain she wants to hide
Cut to the heart, long ago
Thousands of tears, she has cried

She guards her broken soul
The front she displays, is not real
Her spirit within, she tries to keep whole
Will not, allow her heart to feel

Glancing across the room, a stare
He is taken by her every move
She sees him just standing there
His love, for her, he must prove

He reaches for her hand
The look in his eyes, cannot be ignored
So helpless she is, to his command
Never had a feeling, like this before

The rest of the world drifts away
Pulls her close in his arms
Music wraps around them, as it plays
Taken he is, with her charm

A peacefulness around her goes
Less pain, could this be comfort instead?
Is he the one ... who knows?
Will true love find...
The Lady In Red
