You are allowed to live here
Because I said you could
You better listen up
And treat me really good
When it's time for breakfast at 5 AM...
I expect "Johnny-on-the-spot"
Get outta bed, don't make me wait
'Cause I'll bug ya, really a lot
I'll take lots of naps, all day long
And sleep wherever I want to
Rant and rave and carry on
I don't have to listen to you
So, when I leave your sofa
Full of fur and fuzz
Live with it...
That's what a cat does
And if you call for me to come
You don't have to worry
My hearing is very good, you know
I just don't need to hurry
As quick as lightning
I'll come a-runnin'
Whenever I hear
The electric can opener hummin'
When you came to pick a pet
You were checking out that bird
Then I caught your eye
When I looked at you and purred
I think it's time you knew
You didn't pick me...
I picked YOU!!
