Listen to me, my little pet
I'm only human, don't forget
I can look deep, into those eyes
And tell right away, you're truly wise
It's time to let you know,I fear
That I'M the boss, in this place, here
Walking across the kitchen table
Is not acceptable, just because you're able
The kitchen counter is off limits too
If I see, I'll come after you
Lace curtains are not your gym
You don't climb up, the middle of them
At night when I'm trying to sleep
Get off my head, you sleep at my feet
Just washed clothes ....
Not there, for you, to sprawl
Leaving deposited, your fur and all
And there's just one more thing
This human has to say
When I'm walking down the steps
Please, move outta my way
I think that just about covers it
Little pet of mine
Listen to your "Lowly" human
And we'll get along just fine!
