From wagons and
bicycles To hot rods and dates Didn't we think we were
cool Walking hand and hand to the soda shop After all, we
were going to high school
Sweet sixteen.... "Never been kissed" Friday night school
dances A little carnation corsage for the wrist
The drive-in movie Just how many could we get into that car
Parents remember Goodman, Sinatra and Como
They wanted to know ..... "What's a Rock Star?"
Grandparents remember "Flappers" Twenty-three
skidoo Charleston, Fox Trot too
We Remember The Twist and Hula-hoop Beetle
was a bug, I thought Or is it a car.....
A "Beetle" is a rock group?????
Bobby socks, crew cuts A scarf to hold
up a pony tail Poodle skirts to mini skirts Didn't matter the
generation Parents complained, without fail
But, a parent is a parent At any stage
of the game Your Mom and Dad had parents too So strict, we
thought Now with your own kids, you wonder What am I going to
do?!
No matter the time or place
In each generation one thing, will remain Puppy Love is Puppy
Love That will always stay the same!
