I'll just while away the hours
It's a lazy afternoon
A perfect time to do nothing
On a beautiful day in June

I'll float away into daydreams
And watch the butterfly
Lay upon the soft green grass
Then get lost somewhere in the sky

Sometimes you just have to take a day
And do nothing at all
If you listen very carefully
You'll hear a lazy day give a call

Don't ignore that call
Your soul needs a day like this
It gives life back to your heart
As you absorb each ray of the sun's kiss

Waste a day like this
When we have so much work to do?
Well, the decision has been made
This Lazy Afternoon is yours
I'm giving permission to you!!
