Walk along the seashore
Barefoot, in the sand
Find a pretty seashell
Hold it in your hand

Press it up, against your ear
Hear the waves inside
Now, if the sea is in there
Just where does it hide

'Cause when I take a look
I can't find the sea
The seashell is holding nothing
And where could the 'fishes' be

Ever since I was a child
That's what I was told
Listen to the sea
That's what the seashell holds

Well, of course I don't believe it, now
But it was, so much fun
This is the story I told
To my little daughter and son

The memories, I have, in pictures
So very priceless, to me
There they stand, with a seashell
Listening to the sea

Just A Little Memory, To Share
'Cause I Know
We've All Been There!!
