Oh how the snow comes down
on a cold winter's day
"Mom...Mom....Please...Please
Can we go out and play?"

Now, normally going outside, in the snow
would be a great idea
But, I'll bundle them up, from head to toe
They'll be back inside, in five minutes
This, I'll guarantee ya



I'll put them into sweaters
and a really warm snowsuit
We will spend half an hour...at least
Looking for the other boot

Mittens and hats with a scarf
around the neck
I think we're just about done
"Oh...Mommy, Mommy...."
Jumping up and down
Into the bathroom they run



NOW....
I asked before I bundled them up
"Do you need to go?"
I got a loud and reassuring answer....
An unmistakable "NO"

Take off the boots
and the snowsuit
Takes another half an hour
Oops....didn't make it fast enough
Now they need a shower



All finished ....."But you can't go out
'Cause you got your snowsuit wet"
So by the window, looking outside
with a pouty face, and they fret

So that's the way, goes our winter days
Hurry snow, be done.....
I want Warmth, Flowers, Green Grass
Please...Come back Summer Sun !!!!!
